Working together towards a climate-neutral blue economy
From 14-16 November 2023, the partners in the BlueMissionBANOS project are organising a first Mission Arena to inspire stakeholders in the North Sea and Baltic Sea areas to turn the blue economy carbon-neutral and circular by 2030. The focus is on the western part of the Baltic, but participants from all regions are welcome to attend.
A total of five mission arenas will be organised throughout the project. In November 2024, Flanders Marine Institute will organise the third mission arena, which will mainly address the North Sea region. More detailed information about the other mission arenas will be shared in due time.
What is a Mission Arena?
Via interactive sessions, workshops, pitching events, demonstrations and work visits, the Mission Arenas of the BlueMissionBanos project serve as a soure of inspiration for innovative solutions. You learn more about local, regional and national initiatives to transition to a circular and carbon-neutral blue economy, and you get to see successful examples of the Mission Ocean in the area.
During the Mission Arenas, you discover how solutions from the blue economy can play a role in tackling major societal challenges. You also immerse yourself in existing technical solutions, innovation gaps, business models and relevant legislation and regulations to acquire new knowledge and ideas.
Practical information
The Mission Arena is an on-site event. Only the opening and the closing sessions will be broadcast online. If you want to participate in the workshops, you have to be present in Göteborg.
