On 3 March, during the European Ocean Days in Brussels, Blue Cluster and North Sea Energy join forces around a shared ambition: a sustainable and resilient North Sea, driven by offshore renewable energy.

The further expansion of offshore energy infrastructure puts increasing pressure on the available maritime space and raises new questions about efficient spatial use and the combination of activities at sea. This workshop brings together companies, experts and stakeholders from both networks and provides a platform to exchange experiences and knowledge on multi-use of maritime space and energy coordination in the North Sea.

SWIM & NSE

Programme

The morning session focuses on practical solutions within offshore wind farms. We discuss how offshore energy infrastructure can evolve into multifunctional platforms for food production, nature restoration, smart structures and offshore security.

In the afternoon, we broaden the perspective to the North Sea as a whole. We address maritime spatial planning, cross-border coordination and the shared challenges of achieving a sustainable and resilient North Sea.
