Flanders is looking for new innovation projects in aquaculture
With this new call, Flanders aims to support projects that address current challenges in the aquaculture sector or explore new opportunities for the cultivation of species. The projects will be carried out through public-private partnerships involving companies, knowledge institutions, training centres, public authorities and other relevant organisations.
A budget of €850,000 is available for the call. Each project may receive up to €350,000 in funding. The financing comes equally from the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) and Flemish resources through the Financing Instrument for the Flemish Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector (FIVA).
Project proposals can be submitted up to and including 15 October 2026. Selected projects must be completed no later than 30 June 2029.
