ELBE call for financial support to innovation

Are you an innovative SME that can provide a (partial) solution for an innovation challenge from a large company in Offshore Renewable Energy? Collaborate with an SME from another EU country and receive up to €60K in financial support for your solution.

ELBE Eurocluster of Blue Energy has recently launched a call for financial support to innovation. The call will fund eight cross-border projects that respond to eight different challenges in the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) sector. The cascade funding for these challenges is of 60.000€ per project.

The challenges have been defined together with major stakeholders in the ORE sector. These stakeholders commit to working together with the SMEs which are eventually selected to address these challenges.

To qualify for financial support, you need to have a registered office in an EU country (or Liechtenstein, Iceland & Norway) and work out a solution to one of these challenges together with another SME in a different EU country (or Liechtenstein, Iceland & Norway).

2. NAVANTIA 
(Spain) 
Support and Monitoring of Commissioning and Maintenance Activity - Commissioning and Maintenance Activities for Offshore Substations.
3. OCEAN WINDS
(Poland)
Multi-task versatile UAV system to support underwater offshore O&M activities within an Offshore Wind Farm - Operation & Maintenance. 
4. OTARY 
(Belgium)
Offshore Wind Planning Optimizer considering RT production forecasting - Offshore digitalisation. 
5. QAIR 
(France)
Birds anti-rest effect solution - Environment
6. VATTENFALL 
(Denmark)
Cargo drone approach to the nacelle - Drone approach to nacelle. 
7. SEATWIRL 
(Sweden)
Control system development for floating Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) - Control system
8. ORSTED 
(Denmark)
Improved data collection for the purpose of customs reporting - Data collection.

  • All applications are to be submitted on the EU Survey Platform;
  • The deadline for submitting your proposal is 30 September at 5:00PM CET;
  • A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be signed to ensure property rights.
