The Inn2POWER project was launched in 2016. Eleven partners from five countries in the North Sea region joined forces to connect European SMEs across borders and thus set up innovative cooperation initiatives in the offshore wind sector.

Many activities were organised in the context of the project, including matchmaking events, webinars and virtual visits to test facilities. In addition, a list of companies active in the sector was created, as well as a multilingual brochure.

On 18 March, the closing event took place on the second day of the Belgian Offshore Days. Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten opened the event with a speech in which she pointed out the importance of the offshore sector. This was followed by several testimonies from international partners and companies.

After the event, a press release  listing the main achievements was published. The various results of the project were also neatly presented in the form of an infographic.

The general conclusion is that Inn2POWER has initiated many innovative cooperation initiatives between SMEs in various countries in the North Sea region through diverse tools.

It should therefore come as no surprise that the partners are looking into a potential follow-up on the project. More information on this will follow in due time.
