Blue Cluster leads the Oceans programme at G-STIC Rio
As a spearhead cluster for the Flemish blue economy, Blue Cluster attaches great importance to innovation and sustainability. To give more international exposure to both topics, we highlight a number of topical issues linked to oceans every year.
On 14 and 15 February, we will focus on CO2. Global attention for oceans and CO2 emissions is growing. There are many opportunities, but just as many uncertainties. On the one hand, acceleration is urgently needed, but on the other hand, a realistic assessment of the best technologies is crucial.
14 February
Deep dive: Carbon accounting in oceans *
Plenary session: The future of our oceans
15 February
Deep dive: Solutions and local measures
Deep dive: The future of negative emission technologies*
The sessions marked with * are coordinated by Blue Cluster.
