Third edition of Wind Energy Technology Summit
During the Wind Energy Technology Summit, various Belgian and international speakers will take the floor to share new market insights and explain recent innovation trends in the offshore wind sector.
On day 1 and 2, two emerging themes are discussed: floating wind turbines and the combination of hydrogen production at sea via offshore renewable energy. On day 3, a training for starting professionals is planned.
Blue Cluster makes an important contribution to the theme of 'floating wind turbines' on the first day of this event, working together with the Basque Energy Cluster, our loyal partner in the ELBE Alliance and the ELBE Eurocluster for Blue Energy project.
Emerging offshore technologies: floating offshore wind technology (12 September)
On the first day of the Wind Energy Technology Summit, we will focus on floating offshore wind turbines. We pay particular attention to market developments, technological developments and the associated challenges.
Representatives of the following companies and organizations will take the floor: World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO), Basque Energy Cluster, Multi-Engineering, Nautilus Floating Solutions (Wind2Grid floating substation project), Sener (HiveWind), and Saitec.
The detailed programme will be communicated in due time.
Emerging Offshore Technologies: Production of green electrons & molecules at sea (13 September)
On the second day, a thematic seminar will take place on the link between offshore wind energy and hydrogen production. Participants receive detailed information about the current state of affairs in an international context, and (technological) challenges for the coming years are discussed.
The detailed programme will be communicated in due time.

(Offshore) wind energy basics and state of the art for starting professionals (29 September)
This masterclass is aimed at starting professionals in particular and other people in general who wish to become acquainted with the basics and the state-of-the-art of (offshore) wind turbines.
The course zooms in on specific aspects of an (offshore) wind turbine, such as the subsurface, the foundations, aerodynamics and the wind turbine technology itself. You also get an overview of the latest innovations in the sector.
