Background information

De Meyer is a family-owned SME established in 1934. In 2015, the company became active in the offshore sector with the development and production of the "boom lock".  Shortly afterwards, they also started to work on a turbine for energy recovery in locks. Since then, they have also developed a specific generator for this application.

In May 2022, the company was dealt a major blow with the death of CEO and driving force Dirk De Meyer. The company got back on its feet and is now ready to continue Dirk’s lifework through the efforts and focus of all employees!

De Meyer is open to cooperation with a view to the further optimisation of the turbine for energy recovery in locks, and is also looking for other applications for the unique generator developed by the company.
