Decommissioning: Become A Part of It
POM West Vlaanderen, Blue Cluster, Belgian Offshore Platform, VWEA and EDORA warmly invite you to a seminar on wind turbine decomissioning and repowering on Wednesday 13 November in Ostend.
This event mainly focuses on companies, organisations and governments that are part of the value chain of the wind energy sector and the recycling industry. The main topics of the event are:
- Insights in future material flows;
- Offshore wind turbine decommissioning scenarios;
- Onshore wind industry success stories;
- Continuous matchmaking with companies from the entire value chain.
The event will be concluded with a networking reception.

Background
Decommissioning: Become a Part of It falls within the scope of Ready4Decom and OWiDEx, two projects facilitated by Blue Cluster that deal with decommissioning.
Ready4decom strives to develop a clear and supported strategy for the dismantling of both on- and offshore wind turbines. In doing so, there is close cooperation with the various stakeholders of the quadrupel helix.
OWiDEx aims for a clear overview of the state-of-the-art, an expertise platform that is available to policymakers and the industry and a dismantling plan that allows policymakers and the industry to make better-informed decisions.
