Offshore wind energy is not only a hot topic in the West, but is also experiencing a strong boom in Asia. South Korea is one of the countries with a lot of potential in this regard. The country aims to sustainably generate 20% of its power consumption by 2030, with an offshore wind capacity of 12 GW in mind.

KOTRA, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, organises a webinar on 23 June elaborating on the possibilities and the state of affairs in terms of offshore wind in South Korea. The aim is to identify cooperation opportunities with European companies.

This event is supported by the ELBE Alliance, a partnership between various European cluster organisations focusing on the internationalisation of European companies working around offshore energy. Blue Cluster is the Belgian partner in this cooperation initiative.

The webinar takes place on 23 June from 8 am to 5 pm and includes various testimonies from European and South Korean organisations active in South Korea in the field of offshore wind.
