Each year, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) puts a number of foreign investors in our region in the spotlight during the Foreign Investment Trophy. Three awards are presented at this event: the Lifetime Achievement Trophy, the Newcomer of the Year Trophy and the Foreign Investment of the Year Trophy.

For the latter award, there are three nominees: the Swiss logistic service provider Kuehne+Nagel; the French engineering firm ECA GROUP; and finally, the British fitness clothing and accessories brand Gymshark and the Belgian-Dutch logistic service provider Bleckmann, who are jointly nominated.

The Foreign Investment of the Year Trophy is presented to the company that obtained the most votes after two rounds of voting. These votes are not only cast by a professional jury, but also by the general public.

Would you like to help determine who will be Barry Callebaut’s successor during the ninth edition of the Foreign Investment Trophy? Watch the three candidates’ videos and vote for your favourite. The winner will be announced on 22 April during the closing ceremony, which you can follow online.

ECA GROUP

We would like to encourage everyone to vote for ECA Group. This French company is an active player in the blue economy and is currently building a plant for maritime drones in Ostend. It has also expressed its ambition to become a Blue Cluster member.
