Survey on sustainability and energy efficiency in ports
Ports play a very important role within the Flemish and Belgian economy, but don’t really have a green image. However, many investments have been made to improve their environmental performances.
One of the major challenges for the Interreg 2 Seas area is reducing carbon emissions by introducing low-carbon technologies. The PECS project responds to this issue and focuses specifically on small and medium-sized ports.
The project is approaching its final phase. The project partners would therefore like to get a better image of the current knowledge and efforts in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency in ports and marinas, and find out what impact the project has had on those aspects.
For this reason, the partners invite all companies, organisations and public services active in ports and marinas or involved in their operation to complete a survey on this topic. Completing the survey is possible until the end of April 2021.

Background
PECS (Ports Energy & Carbon Savings) is an Interreg 2 Seas project that brings together companies, organisations and public services from various European countries to increase the energy efficiency in ports and marinas in a cost-effective way by using renewable technology.
