Strengthen your international network in offshore energy
The offshore energy sector is evolving rapidly. Companies and knowledge institutions are confronted with new market conditions, increasing international competition and various technological developments. To respond to these trends, Blue Cluster and Flanders Investment & Trade are organising two targeted roadshows on offshore renewable energy in spring 2026.
The roadshows connect you with key organisations in Scotland and Ireland and create opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and strengthening their international position. This gives companies a clearer view of how the international market is developing and what role they can play within it.
Alongside these two roadshows, other activities are planned for 2026 that will help you broaden your international outlook and discover new opportunities in offshore renewable energy. Further on in this article, we briefly shed light on these initiatives.
Scotland – Edinburgh Offshore Renewables Roadshow
This roadshow takes place from 13 to 17 April 2026 and focuses on the wider offshore renewable energy sector, with special attention to floating offshore energy and decommissioning. You will meet Carbon Trust, ORE Catapult, the Scottish Government (ScotGov), Flotation Energy and project developers of the Inch Cape Wind Farm.
Brief programme
- Day 1 – Edinburgh: Presentations and interactive sessions on regulation, market access, R&D cooperation and international opportunities.
- Day 2 – Inch Cape-project: Meetings with companies, insights into the supply chain and technological challenges.
- Day 3 – Flotation Energy: Visit and exchange on future floating wind projects.
Ierland – Blue Economy Roadshow
This roadshow takes place from 11 to 13 May 2026 and focuses on sustainability within offshore renewable energy, with themes such as nature-inclusive design, ecological impact, circularity and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). Participants will become acquainted with leading Irish research centres, government agencies and companies.
Brief programme
- Sunday 10 May: Flight to Dublin, transfer to Galway & overnight stay.
