Following the amendment of the articles of incorporation at the 2025 general meeting, efforts were made in 2025 and 2026 to reform the board. This led to a renewed composition of the Blue Cluster’s governing body. A total of five new board members were appointed for a three-year term. They are Bart De Poorter (CTO of DEME), Steven Luys (CEO of Exail), Jef Monballieu (COO of Multi.Engineering), Anicet Touré (Head of Strategy, Business Development & Innovation at Tractebel), and Josefien Vanhuyse (CEO of Neanex). Monballieu and Vanhuyse will assume the roles of chair and vice chair of the SME committee. The terms of Guy Janssens (VP Corporate Affairs, Port of Antwerp-Bruges) and Gert De Sitter (owner/manager, 24Sea) were also extended for three years and one year, respectively. All appointments were unanimously approved by the general meeting.
