New project call for maritime and marine technologies

Take part in the fourth international MarTERA project call for research and development projects on maritime and marine technologies and be eligible for financial support.

MarTERA is an ERA-Net Cofund that is part of Horizon 2020 and aims to promote cooperation between European organisations on topics such as marine and maritime technology and blue growth.

In early 2021, MarTERA launched a new call on the initiative of government bodies and financing organisations from 9 countries, namely Belgium, Germany, Malta, Norway, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Belarus and South Africa.

Topics

The focus of the call is centred around the following focus areas:

  • Focus area 1: Sustainable maritime technologies
  • Focus area 2: Innovative concepts for shipping and offshore installations
  • Focus area 3: Automation, sensors, monitoring and observations
  • Focus area 4: Advanced production techniques
  • Focus area 5: Safety and security

Financing

An €8.5 million budget has been made available for this call. To be eligible for financial support, candidates should be located in one of the countries mentioned above.

Candidates from other countries can also participate in the project call if they finance their own involvement. . 

Procedure

This call has a two-step procedure. In a first phase, candidates should submit an initial proposal. In a second phase, a final proposal should be submitted.

The deadline for initial proposals is 26 March 2021.
