Meet the winners of our drawing contest 'Discoveries at Sea'
Over 300 students from 14 primary schools throughout Belgium took part in the second edition of our drawing contest. Out of more than 300 drawings, we selected 20 finalists in two age categories. The drawings below managed to get the most votes:
Years 3 and 4
First place
Arne Dedecker (De Zandloper, Zomergem) received the highest number of votes and can make an educational walk along and about the coast with his entire class. Congratulations! This wonderful prize is sponsored by ILVO (Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) and VLIZ (Flanders Marine Institute).
Second place
Otis Dewilde (VBS De Teunisbloem, Ghent) took second place in the competition. All students in his class receive a bag of colourful building blocks thanks to our sponsor VITO (partner of Blue Cluster). Congratulations!
Derde plaats
Paulien Aert (De Zilverbergschool, Roeselare) came in third with her beautiful drawing. Unfortunately, we cannot award a prize for third place, but we would still like to congratulate Paulien on the great result.
Years 5 and 6
Eerste plaats
Floor Daelemans (VBS Sint-Carolus, Ruisbroek) received the highest number of votes and can make an adventurous boat trip on the North Sea with her entire class. Congratulations! This wonderful prize is sponsored by Water-Taxi (member of Blue Cluster).
Second place
Lene Van Houtte (De Tandem, Roksem) took second place in the competition. All students in her class receive a bag of colourful building blocks thanks to our sponsor VITO (partner of Blue Cluster). Congratulations!
Derde plaats
Laure Ongena (VBS Heikant, Zele) came in third with her beautiful drawing. Unfortunately, we cannot award a prize for third place, but we would still like to congratulate Paulien on the great result.

We willen graag alle leerlingen en scholen bedanken voor hun deelname aan onze tekenwedstrijd. De tekeningen waren echt inspirerend en gaven blijk van de inventiviteit en het inlevingsvermogen van onze jongeren. We zijn ook alle leerkrachten heel dankbaar voor hun fantastisch engagement.
Volgend jaar doen we opnieuw mee aan Oostende voor Anker, en organiseren we zeker opnieuw een tekenwedstrijd! Houd onze website in de gaten voor meer informatie.
