€100 million for small-scale cleantech initiatives
The ETS innovation fund is one of the largest funding programmes in the world for innovative, low-carbon technologies. The fund launched its second project call for small-scale projects on 31 March 2022. The European Commission made a €100 million budget available for this purpose.
Conditions
- The project must be in the field of renewable energy, energy-intensive industries, energy storage and/or carbon capture, use and storage.
- The investment expenditure should be between €2.5 million and €7.5 million.
- The subsidy will not exceed 60% of the capital expenditure.
- The deadline for submitting projects is 31 August 2022.

On Wednesday 27 April (2 pm - 3 pm), the Flemish Energy and Climate Agency (VEKA) and Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) will organise a webinar to inform Flemish stakeholders about the EU Innovation Fund’s call for small-scale projects. Marc Vanderhaegen (CINEA) will present the new call, after which the Flemish Energy and Climate Agency (VEKA) and Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) will explain the Flemish services.
