€100 million for small-scale cleantech initiatives

Do you have an innovative cleantech project in mind and is the estimated expenditure for this project between €2.5 million and €7.5 million? Then you are eligible for support from the European Commission through the European Innovation Fund. You have until 31 August to submit your project.

The ETS innovation fund is one of the largest funding programmes in the world for innovative, low-carbon technologies. The fund launched its second project call for small-scale projects on 31 March 2022. The European Commission made a €100 million budget available for this purpose.

Conditions

  • The project must be in the field of renewable energy, energy-intensive industries, energy storage and/or carbon capture, use and storage.
  • The investment expenditure should be between €2.5 million and €7.5 million.
  • The subsidy will not exceed 60% of the capital expenditure.
  • The deadline for submitting projects is 31 August 2022.

On Wednesday 27 April (2 pm - 3 pm), the Flemish Energy and Climate Agency (VEKA) and Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) will organise a webinar to inform Flemish stakeholders about the EU Innovation Fund’s call for small-scale projects. Marc Vanderhaegen (CINEA) will present the new call, after which the Flemish Energy and Climate Agency (VEKA) and Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) will explain the Flemish services.
