Drawing contest 'The North Sea in 2050'

On the occasion of Ostend at Anchor and our fifth anniversary, Blue Cluster organised a drawing competition for pupils of the 5th and 6th year of primary education in Flanders. We received a lot of fantastic drawings, and we are happy to announce the winners.

Over 200 pupils from 16 schools across Flanders took part in the first edition of our drawing contest. We selected 11 finalists from these drawings, and the public could then vote on their favourites. The drawings below managed to get the most votes:

De Kleine Tovenaar - Izegem

First place

Nola Vanhoutteghem (De Kleine Tovenaar, Izegem) managed to get the most votes. Nola can take an exciting boat trip on the North Sea with her whole class thanks to our sponsor Water-Taxi (member of Blue Cluster). Congratulations!

Braambos Evergem

Second place

The second place went to Elisa Holvoet, who attends school at VBS Braambos in Evergem. All students in the class receive a bag with colourful building blocks thanks to our sponsor VITO (partner of Blue Cluster). Congratulations!

De Feniks

Derde plaats

The drawing by Angel Clottey (Jenaplanschool De Feniks in Ghent) came in third place. Unfortunately, we cannot award a prize for third place, but we would like to congratulate Angel on the great result.

We would like to thank all students and schools for participating in our drawing competition. The drawings were truly inspiring and showed the inventiveness and empathy of our young people. We are also very grateful to all teachers for their fantastic commitment.

Next year we will participate in Ostend at Anchor again, and we will certainly organize another drawing competition! Keep an eye on our website for more information.
