Cleantech Flanders releases new report
Cleantech Flanders is a network organisation accelerating the implementation of cleantech at Flemish companies by means of co-creation, cooperation, matchmaking, events and knowledge sharing. Every year, a report about the current state of affairs within the sector is released. This year’s report has recently become available.
Some important conclusions
- Cleantech is on the rise: in addition to a remarkable increase in the number of cleantech companies and the number of employees in the sector, a significant increase in investments was also noted;
- Despite the Covid-19 crisis, cleantech companies in Flanders recorded an average year-on-year EBITDA growth of 26.61% over the past two years;
- Flemish cleantech actors are increasingly found not only in economic hubs, but spread all over Flanders;
- Companies in the sector are not limited to the regional or national market, but are increasingly active internationally.
Cleantech and the blue economy
