Call for demonstrators for floating and underwater drones

The drone sector is in full development worldwide. In addition to flying drones, driving, floating and underwater drones are also being developed. Especially the last two categories could play an important role in the further expansion of companies in the blue economy.

The partners within the Drone Innovations project are looking for companies wishing to demonstrate the possibilities of floating and underwater drones in real circumstances. These demonstrations will be combined with info sessions during which the latest developments in terms of drones will be presented. 

This event takes place on 1 October at the Zeebrugge naval base and is part of the Belgian Navy’s Technology weekend. It is aimed at a broad audience from the industry, government bodies and academic partners.

Participate

Interested in participating in this unique event with your demonstration? Do not hesitate and submit your demonstration proposal on Friday 4 June at the latest. You will receive an invitation to further explain your proposal on Thursday 10 June in the afternoon. If your proposal is accepted, you will be notified of this on 18 June at the latest.

Background information

The Drone Innovation project aims to better align various drones initiatives in West Flanders and further develop the available infrastructure. The project partners are Provincial Development Agency West Flanders, VIVES, Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO), Blue Cluster and Flanders Make (EUKA). The project receives financial support from ERDF Flanders.
