A shot in the arm for innovative start-ups
Support for Innovative Starters (SIS) is a financial support instrument provided by VLAIO to innovative young companies (maximum two years old) with promising future prospects. SIS comprises counselling of start-ups by a VLAIO business adviser and a fixed amount of € 50,000 in aid.
The second call for Support for Innovative Starters was launched on 2 February 2022. The deadline for application for this call is 2 March 2022. Applicants have to opt for one of the VLAIO partners involved, who can each present a limited number of starters as candidates to VLAIO. They also help formulate the application as clearly as possible.
The partners involved are: Agoria; Sirris; Imec.istart; Voka; UNIZO; Netwerk Ondernemen; Start-it @KBC; Birdhouse; Flanders Space; Flanders DC; and VLAIO Team Bedrijfstrajecten.
Selection
The partners can present a limited number of starters to VLAIO. Once they have been presented, VLAIO will select the 80 strongest starters from the candidates. The deadline for submitting an application for this grant is 28 April 2022.
On the basis of the grant applications submitted, VLAIO will then decide to grant support to a maximum of 55 young companies in the second half of June 2022.
