Side programme for Offshore Wind WindEurope Annual Event 2022 in Bilbao

Are you interested in meeting important Spanish actors in offshore wind? Participate in our (side) programme for and during the WindEurope Annual Event, which takes place in Bilbao this year. For this event, we are working together with Agoria's Energy Technology Club and Basque Energy Cluster, in the framework of the ELBE Alliance.

Linked to the 2022 WindEurope Annual Event in Bilbao, Blue Cluster and Agoria Energy Technology Club are organising an exclusive programme with visits to leading companies, knowledge institutions and test sites relevant to offshore wind. In addition, you can participate in the Energy Clusters Summit and B2B matchmaking session during the event, which are offered by the ELBE Alliance lead partner, the Basque Energy Cluster.

4 April - Visits to companies and test sites

9 am: Pick-up at hotel Carlton in Bilbao (Federico Moyúa Plaza, 2, 48009 Bilbao, Bizkaia, Spain) (tbc)
10 am: Visit by boat to BiMEP test site, HarshLab and Wello
11 am: Trip to Tecnalia
11:30 am: Visit to Tecnalia buildings and laboratories
12:30 pm: Lunch at Tecnalia
1:30 pm: Trip to the port of Bilbao (where SAITEC and HAIZEA are located)
2 pm: Visit to SAITEC and HAIZEA WIND
5 pm: Return to Bilbao
5:30 pm: Arrival at hotel Carlton
6 April - Visit to Iberdrola

6 april - Visit to Iberdrola

On 6 April in the afternoon, we will visit the headquarters of Iberdrola, a global leader in the development of offshore wind farms, for an introduction to the top managers of this company. This visit is expected to take 1 hour, during which the members of the Belgian delegation will have the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves.

6 - 7 April - Activities in the context of ELBE+

The 2022 WindEurope Annual Event offers the perfect opportunity to get to know the other members of the ELBE consortium (energy clusters from Belgium, Spain, Denmark, France, Norway, Sweden and the UK). A meeting with a US delegation has also been planned.

Practical information

Members of Blue Cluster and Agoria's Energy Technology Club can participate free of charge in the company visits on 4 and 6 April. Other parties pay a contribution of € 300. Interested? Register now, because the number of places is limited. The deadline is 18 March 2022.

The B2B matchmaking session during the conference is free of charge, but you need to register separately via this link. The deadline is 4 April.
