Multi-use as a way forward for sustainable use of our seas and oceans
Within the Northern European Sea Basin project (NESBp), we assess the use of the Maripark concept in different contexts. We have 3 settings, a ‘stand-alone’ Maripark, a Maripark ‘in a windfarm’ and a Maripark ‘in a decommissioned windfarm’, for which we develop multiple scenarios for 5 different cases in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
This workshop is our first ‘work bench’ on scenario building. We invite experts in sustainable blue economy, marine spatial planning, multi-use and innovative uses of our seas to participate in person. The workshop will consist of a brainstorm on realistic combinations of activities in the 3 settings presented. Furthermore, we will dive into specific scenarios.
