The ocean is an important potential source of renewable energy and can make a significant contribution to the global sustainable energy goals. Canada is strongly committed to ocean energy, which is one of the central topics of the H2O Conference in Halifax (Canada).

In June, AREG, the Scottish partner within the ELBE consortium, is organising a mission on tidal energy to Canada. The focus of the mission is on tidal energy, but Canada also has a lot of potential in the field of wind energy (both bottom fixed and floating). During this trip, you will have ample opportunity to establish contacts with relevant stakeholders.

Central to the programme is the 2022 H2O Conference, where you will be able to meet various actors in the ocean technology sector. The following topics will be extensively discussed: ocean energy, the blue economy and international partnerships.

Want to participate in this mission? You can register until 20 May 2022. Want further information? View the informative flyer.
