Closing event of the NEPTUNE project
The central objective of the NEPTUNE project was to draw up an energy plan for the transition to sustainable wind energy in the North Sea. During this closing event, you will discover the challenges and steps required to prepare the electricity system for the increased transmission of high-power electricity over longer distances.
You will receive an explanation of the current state of affairs regarding wind energy in the North Sea, and find out which cost-effective route to carbon neutrality can be followed by 2050. Be there and get valuable insights into the future of offshore wind energy in Belgium and beyond.
Programme
During the seminar, several speakers will take the stage, including Belgian Minister for Energy Tinne Van der Straeten, prof. Oriol Gomis Bellmunt (CITCEA-UPC / ICREA Academia / eROOTS), and prof. Nicolaos A. Cutululis (Technical University of Denmark).
There will also be a panel discussion in the afternoon. At the end of the event, you can take part in a reception with networking opportunities.
