The by-products of seaweed processing are often considered waste and are incinerated. The AlgaeVALOR project aims to convert these residual flows into valuable products. In this way, the partners in this international project help build a circular economy.

OUTFLOW

Offshore wind turbines are constructed around the globe. The foundations of such wind turbines are quickly colonised by filter-feeding animals. The OUTFLOW project investigates the functional impact of a high concentration of these animals on the marine ecosystem.
